Job Description and Requirements:
Job Summary:
The Production Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the preventive and corrective
maintenance and repair of the production machinery, specifically our high speed
packaging equipment. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at
any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in
writing.
Qualifications:
1. Must be able to pass mechanical skills test in order to be considered.
2. Experience in a manufacturing environment in the areas of machine maintenance and repair and equipment installation.
3. Prior experience with high speed equipment a plus.
4. 3 – 5 years experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical maintenance.
5. Omron and Keyence PLC knowledge a plus.
6. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
7. Ability to work all shifts.
8. Must be able to work a rotating schedule and one Saturday per month, with occasional extra weekend and holiday requirements.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to troubleshoot & remedy problems with manufacturing equipment.
2. Ability to perform preventative maintenance to equipment to assure an efficient and long-term trouble-free operation.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team and independently to achieve team objectives.
Essential Duties / Job Responsibilities
1. Maintain and repair high speed packaging production equipment.
2. Periodic inspection and overhaul according to the maintenance schedule.
3. Maintain accurate records.
4. Troubleshoot production machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
5. Repair machines and equipment using approved procedures and standards while maintaining safety practices.
6. Communicate with mechanics on other shifts, with verbal and written communications in order to receive and relay specific machine conditions or other information related to the department.
7. Follow Lockout / Tagout procedures.
8. Performs other work-related duties and responsibilities as required by the Production Maintenance Manager or other management personnel.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a controlled physical
environment protected from the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level
in the work environment is minimal.
