Great International Trade Opportunity in Canada

The State of Georgia’s Department of Economic Development is currently recruiting Georgia companies to attend the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary in June of 2008.

Ideal companies are in the heavy construction, meters, pumps, fabricated metals, industrial chemicals/petrochemicals and similar industries. Even modular office manufactures have found good results.

“There is so much work in the Edmonton, Alberta area,” says Kathy Oxford with DEcD. “They do not have the labor to build and support these needs. The key is, if Georgia companies can build it, ship it and service it, there is business for them in the Oil Snads region of Alberta (Edmonton and Ft. McMurray).”

Kathy has discussed this show with a number of companies that also fall into the mining industry and some electrical support industries, so just because you think you don’t deal with companies in the petroleum industry, it doesn’t mean you don’t have a good fit.
