Peachtree City Lands Another International Headquarters
FieldTurf Tarkett, the world leader in sports surfacing, is announcing today that it has relocated its worldwide headquarters from Montreal, Canada to Peachtree City, Georgia. FieldTurf Tarkett, a Division of the Tarkett Group (€2.1 billion revenue in 2007), is the largest entity in the sports surfacing industry. They expect to employ 20 to 30 people in Peachtree City within the next 3 years.
In just a little more than a decade, FieldTurf has proven to be one of the great success stories in the annals of sports-related products. FieldTurf’s 2700+ installations are in more than 40 countries worldwide. In Georgia, they have installed FieldTurf brand artificial turf fields in the Georgia Dome and the University of Georgia’s Woodruff Practice Fields.

The customer-centric company has expanded its operation with the goal of continuing to properly service its growing customer base. Peachtree City, located 35 miles south of Atlanta and just south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, is an ideal site for the leading sports surfacing manufacturer and a company that is experiencing significant growth.
“Peachtree City provides a great location for FieldTurf Tarkett to expand into a new corporate setting”, said FieldTurf Tarkett CEO Joe Fields. “With our manufacturing facility in Dalton, GA this office gives us the ability to ensure all of our customers continue to get product and service that is above and beyond their expectations.”
Per additional comments from Mr. Fields, Peachtree City was chosen due to its incredible quality of life, its highly educated white collar workforce and its close proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Letting his kids ride golf carts around the city didn’t hurt either.
FieldTurf Tarkett expects to install over 600 football, soccer, baseball and other athletic fields in 2008. Annually, the division has revenues of over $300 million.
In addition to its world-renowned FieldTurf and Prestige brands of artificial turf, FieldTurf Tarkett provides an equally impressive range of sports flooring products that includes synthetic and hardwood basketball, volleyball and gymnasium flooring, squash and racquetball courts, floor protection and covering systems, and weight room flooring. Also in the range of FieldTurf Tarkett products are high performance indoor and outdoor running tracks including the Beynon track surfaces, playground surfacing, commercial and residential landscaping, and a complete range of tennis and golf surfaces.
“This location is another example of the value Peachtree City and Fayette County offer corporate entities,” said Matt Forshee, President & CEO of the Fayette County Development Authority. “We have high education standards, a large white collar workforce, a unique lifestyle and a dedication to quality that many communities speak of, but few can deliver. We are excited to welcome FieldTurf and look forward to them becoming another outstanding corporate headquarters and citizen of our great community.”
