Fayette County Development Authority Selects New Director of Existing Industries

Fayetteville, GA - The Fayette County Development Authority (FCDA) is proud to welcome Amanda Fields, a distinguished economic development professional with over two decades of experience, as its new Director of Existing Industries.

Field’s career is marked by a steadfast commitment to fostering economic development and prosperity in the communities she serves. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Project Manager for Region 4 at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. In this role, she served as a vital resource for state programs and incentives tailored to existing industries within her expansive ten-county region. Her strategic partnerships with local economic development organizations were instrumental in bolstering the industries that drive the region's economic vitality.

Prior to joining the state of Georgia, Field’s served as Director of Existing Industries and Workforce Development at the Coweta County Development Authority, skillfully orchestrated the authority's existing industry program, driving its growth and diversifying workforce development offerings to cater to the unique needs of local manufacturers.

She holds additional experience with Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG) as well as the former Office Manager at the FCDA, where she served with unwavering dedication for nearly seven years. Her expertise has grown over the years, benefiting every organization fortunate enough to have her on board.

A Fayette County native, Field’s earned her degree in Marketing from Clayton State University and currently resides in Newnan with her husband and their three children.
